ORANO Cycle - Conversion factory - Malvési
The Orano - Malvési factory (ex Comurhex Malvési), located in the department of the Aude, has an activity of the conversion of the uranium, stage of transformation being between the extraction of ores and that of the enrichment of the uranium. The first stage of conversion is realized on this site (transformation of the mining concentrated solutions in tetrafluoride of uranium (UF4)). As part of the renewal of its industrial facilities, the new factory of COMURHEX II progressively takes over from old factory.
